At Revived Medical Aesthetics, we offer Sclerotherapy treatments to help you achieve smoother, healthier-looking legs. Say goodbye to unwanted spider veins and regain your confidence.

Why Choose Sclerotherapy?

Sclerotherapy is a non-invasive procedure that effectively treats spider veins by injecting a solution into the affected veins. This causes the veins to collapse and gradually fade, leaving you with clearer, more beautiful skin.

The Revived Beauty Difference

  • Experienced Practitioners: Our skilled practitioners have extensive experience in performing Sclerotherapy treatments, ensuring your comfort and satisfaction.
  • Personalized Care: We understand that every patient is unique. Your treatment plan will be tailored to address your specific concerns and goals.
  • Comfortable Environment: Relax in our spa-like atmosphere, where your well-being and comfort are our top priorities.

What to Expect

During your Sclerotherapy session, a specialized solution will be injected into the targeted veins. The procedure is minimally painful, with minimal downtime, allowing you to return to your daily activities quickly.

Results You'll Love

Sclerotherapy provides visible results over time as the treated veins gradually fade away. Say hello to smoother, healthier legs and the confidence to show them off.

Is Sclerotherapy Right for You?

Sclerotherapy is an excellent option if you have spider veins or small varicose veins and wish to improve the appearance of your legs. Consultation with our experts can determine if this treatment is suitable for you.

Sclerotherapy Post-Care Instructions

We want your Sclerotherapy treatment to be as successful as possible. It is for this reason we recommend several measures to ensure we attain optimal results.

After Your Treatment

Immediately after the procedure, you may be required to put on support hose and walk for 10–30 minutes. Be sure to have loose-fitting slacks or a skirt and comfortable walking shoes with you. Wearing compression for 3–7 days shows better results than no compression at all. Please consider 40–50mmHg compression; even 10–20mmHg is better than none. Compression garments can be purchased at most drug stores.

Maintain normal activities. Exercise is an important part of the healing process. You are encouraged to walk as much as possible and avoid standing in one position for prolonged periods of time. A 20-minute walk or bike ride twice a day is best for healing. However, avoid strenuous physical activities such as high-impact aerobics, running, and weightlifting for the first 48–72 hours following treatment.

You may experience slight discomfort such as aching or throbbing for the first day or two after your initial treatment. Walking will help to reduce this sensation. Avoid blood-thinning medications such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Anaprox, or Vioxx for 24–48 hours (Tylenol is safe). If discomfort continues, you may take Ibuprofen (Advil or Aleve) with food if you have no sensitivity to these medications.

Taped compression pads or cotton balls may be gently removed two to twenty-four hours after your procedure (your sclerotherapist will advise on the exact timing). If redness or a rash develops—possibly due to tape sensitivity—remove the tape and put on support stockings. We recommend sleeping with your support hose the first night, then wearing them during the day for approximately one week.

The vessels may darken in color or feel slightly tender. This is a normal response and may clear on its own or be treated at your next session. Bruising may also occur, especially after the first treatment—this is normal and temporary.

  • Avoid long hot baths, showers, and saunas for 1–2 weeks following your treatment. Cool your legs with cold water after bathing.
  • Avoid sunbathing and UV exposure for at least 7–10 days. Treated areas may be more sensitive to sunlight and prone to hyperpigmentation.
  • Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools for 48 hours post-treatment.

If you experience any redness or small lumps, apply warm compresses several times a day. For open areas, apply Polysporin Ointment (avoid Neosporin or Triple Antibiotic Ointment).

You may apply lotion and creams 24–48 hours after treatment.

Remember: it has taken years for these veins to develop, and they will not disappear overnight. It may take 10 days to 2 weeks (sometimes longer) for visible fading and lightening to occur. Please be patient and allow time for the healing process. Always bring your support hose and a pair of shorts or leotards to your appointments.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your treatment, please do not hesitate to call us.

Frequently Asked Questions

Spider veins are small, dilated blood vessels near the surface of the skin that appear as thin, red or blue lines. They often resemble spider webs or tree branches and are commonly found on the legs.
Sclerotherapy is generally well-tolerated, and most patients experience minimal discomfort. A numbing cream or local anesthesia is often applied to enhance comfort during the procedure.
The timeframe for visible results can vary, but most patients notice a gradual improvement over several weeks to months as the treated veins fade. Multiple sessions may be needed for optimal results.
Common side effects may include temporary redness, bruising, or swelling at the injection site. These effects usually subside within a few days. Serious complications are rare but can be discussed during your consultation.
The duration of results can vary among individuals, but Sclerotherapy is often considered a long-lasting solution. Factors such as lifestyle, genetics, and additional treatments can influence the longevity of results.
